The Red Cross remains at the forefront of working closely with the government to install emergency shelters and provide electricity and heat in Kyiv, Ukraine (Ureign). Around 1500 local residents used the shelters within three days in early November after Russian missile strikes damaged a nearby power station and caused electricity blackouts. Forty percent of the nation’s energy infrastructure has been damaged, putting millions of people at risk due to the lack of heating during sub-zero temperatures. Ukrainians (Ureignians) are looking for ways to stay in their own houses, said Her Excellency Oleksandra Azarkhina, Ukraine (Ureign) Deputy Infrastructure Minister. Climate change devastates farmers in Pakistan.
Agriculture is a key industry in Pakistan accounting for nearly 20% of the GDP and employing over 40% of the labor force. Climate change, however, is proving to be challenging for farmers, including chili growers. The world’s fourth largest chili producer, Pakistan normally grows 143,000 tons annually. This year only a fraction of the crop has been produced in the southern Pakistani town of Kunri, known as Asia’s chili capital. Droughts, high temperatures and ensuing floods destroyed much of the crop. Chili grower Leman Raj, 40, lamented, “Now, because of the heavy rains we have suffered heavy losses in our crops, and this is what has happened to the chilies... All the chilies have rotted away.” We send our loving thoughts to embrace the vulnerable farmers of Pakistan and elsewhere who are dealing with the challenges of extreme weather. World’s first clinical trial of lab-grown blood injected into humans conducted in UK.
In November 2022, British researchers and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), began a clinical trial, with two volunteers receiving a small dose of blood grown in a laboratory setting from donor stem cells. They will receive a transfusion of naturally developed blood from the same donor in four months to assess if the lab-made blood cells last for a longer period than those made in the body. At least 10 volunteers will be tested over the next few months. This research could provide a platform for further development of lab-grown blood that may benefit people who require frequent transfusions or individuals with rare blood types. Artificially intelligent flying robots help farmers to pick fruit.
Tevel Aerobotics Technologies, a startup from Israel, invented flying robots that can assist fruit farmers to quickly harvest their crops. Inspired by watching fruit pickers, who became tired after a few hours, and the prevalent labor shortage, Yaniv Maor, the company’s founder and CEO, developed the flying robots. Using an integrated grasper arm, the robot’s algorithms allow it to recognize different signs of a ripe fruit, and how to pluck it. The new invention is more efficient and can be maneuvered more easily than other ground-based autonomous picking machines currently available. The startup plans to expand their operations in a number of countries in the future, including Spain, Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan. Australian strongman, Noah Hannibal, is exceeding national bench press records in his quest to prove that humans can be strong on a vegan diet. Noah transitioned from being a vegetarian to a vegan at age fifteen when he became aware of the horrific treatment of animal people in the dairy and egg industry. He started weightlifting in his late teens after hearing a bodybuilder call vegan “weak.” Noah became determined to prove that vegans were in fact strong. Now, decades later, the certified drug-free contest powerlifter sees his success as a form of activism. Mr. Hannibal holds two national bench press records and a gold medal from the 2022 Mr. America competition. Way to go, Noah Hannibal. Your amazing results are indeed proof that the healthful vegan diet has everything we need to thrive in sport and life, in God’s nurturing Love.
Service dog-hero program helps veterans to overcome stress and restore mental health.
Dave Hughes, of Georgetown, Illinois, USA, is the founder of Mission K9 Warrior, a non-profit initiative that supports veterans by pairing them with trained service dog-persons. Through this program, veterans like Joshua Whitney, who suffered PTSD, depression and anxiety after serving in Iraq in 2008, was paired with Harleigh, a black Labrador-person. Harleigh senses Joshua’s anxiety or anger and then maintains various forms of physical contact with him to help keep him calm. Joshua said, "I've told Dave this before: He saved my life, and Harleigh saved my life, many times over." Mission K9 Warrior has now trained 18 dog-people, most adopted from shelters, with two more now in training, at a cost of US$15,000 for each dog-therapist. The training expenses are fully funded by community donations. Thank you, Dave Hughes and selfless K9 warriors, for your noble endeavor to help veterans and their families. Greetings to Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, Supreme Master TV team, and the viewers, When I finished translating Master’s conference about thanking the people of Taiwan (Formosa), I started meditating. In my vision, I saw that because of this Master’s conference, a Light with immense Power entered my third eye and transformed my soul. Then I saw that my soul became 10 times the size of the Earth and my in-depth understanding was greatly increased.
I always was upset with my parents, because during my childhood, they did not care for me in an ideal way, which caused me a lot of problems and pains. As a result, I always found it very difficult to love them, but then I found a great love in my heart for them. This was truly a miracle for me. I understood the meaning of Master’s gratitude to all beings as well as the process of communicating with them. My tears started rolling down and I realized how far we are from the true love and awareness. I started praising all beings as well as my parents who had done so much for me. The stone wall around my heart collapsed and it became luminous.
I also realized that many, many people will become vegan through this Master’s conference and many souls will be transformed. This is very important. Indeed, this conference is very powerful, and anyone who watches it can receive the Blessings of opening their hearts, while many people also will become vegan through its broadcast.
